Calgary Day Trips
Private Day Trips can be tailored to fit your exact needs and desires. Whether you're looking to track down elusive target species, visit a variety of local hotspots or take some photographs we can help you out. In the winter (November-March) more than five owl species including Snowy, Northern Hawk and Great Gray can be seen nearby as well as irruptive winter finches and boreal specialties. During the breeding season the diverse habitats is southern Alberta also offers some spectacular birding. Prairie specialties such as Baird's Sparrow, Chestnut-collard and Thick-billed Longspurs, and Ferruginous Hawk can be seen with a two hours drive. In the foothills to the west, sought after species such as Yellow Rail, Nelson's and LeConte's Sparrows, Cape May Warbler and Great Gray Owl can be found.

Full Day (6-9 hours): $450 + fuel
