Gavin McKinnon
Gavin McKinnon first started birding after a family holiday to Point Pelee National Park at the age of seven. After this first taste, he was hooked and has been birding non-stop ever since. In 2015 he moved from Guelph, Ontario to Calgary, Alberta where he quickly jumped at the opportunity to explore his new home. He has traveled extensively in Canada in search of birds as well as venturing to multiple locations throughout the United States, Panama, and Ecuador. Point Pelee remains his favorite birding location although it is closely rivaled by Cold Lake in Alberta, southern Texas, or anywhere in the neotropics. He is a volunteer eBird reviewer and hotspot editor for eight regions in southern Alberta.
